HYPO2 MENTAL PERFORMANCE

Winter Collection: Best of 2024 *Recorded*

This winter I have decided to gather some of my workshops into a “best of 2024” collection. Sessions 1 and 2 are presented by myself alone and cover a lot of exercises and info that athletes can immediately apply to their training and racing.

* For those already familiar with my work, session 1 will cover info already learned in a level 1 MTI or focus session series. Session 2 will cover some info already learned in a level 2 MTI or focus session series.

In sessions 3, 4 and 5 I was accompanied by some wise and accomplished athletes. Their thoughtful contributions are the reason that these sessions are considered “best of” 2024.

Below is a curriculum summary as well as some samples from each session so that you can decide if this series is a good fit for you.

The foundation upon which I base my work.

Session 1 (1 hr): Foundations of Mental Performance (The mountain and the weather – including the loose plan). This session helps athletes access their personal strengths, attain a helpful perspective, and clarify effective actions within training and racing.

I explain the 2 primary “storm cells” that underpin mental and emotional “weather.”

Session 2 (1 hr); Weather Basics and the Limits of Control. This session helps athletes understand the origins of some of their thoughts and emotions, and outlines some methods to working with them.

Nico Young shares how he handles pain inside races and workouts.

Session 3 (2 hrs): Nerves, Pain, Comparison and More with Drew Bosley and Nico Young. Nerves, pain and comparison are discussed in more detail. More methods to work with these are taught. Nico and Drew share their personal experiences and approaches to working with these challenges.

Krissy Gear and I discuss the ego and linear progress.

Session 4 (1 hr): The Hero’s Journey with Krissy Gear. In this session we discuss the “myth” of linear progress in contrast to the myth of the hero’s journey. Struggles and setbacks are framed through a new and helpful lens. Krissy shares her thoughts and experiences on these topics.

Drew Bosley and I discuss what it means to take responsibility for our sense of belonging.

Session 5 (1 hr): Connecting to the Heart of the Race with Drew Bosley. Here, Drew and I explore an optimal performance state: connection with the heart of the race. Methods to connect with the heart of the race are discussed.

Cost: $145
